Biography

Laetitia started learning bharata natyam in Chennai in 2009 with Shri Hemnath Pillai and gave her first performance in April 2010 at "R.K. Swami Auditorium" in Chennai. Back in Paris, she continued bharata natyam with Malavika Klein, disciple of Ellapa Pillai and Shri V. S. Muthuswamy Pillai.
In 2010 - 2011, Laetitia carried on her apprenticeship under the guidance of Shri Vasanth Kumar from the dance school "Sri Rajeshwari Bharata natyam Kala Mandir" based in Bombay.
Following a brief stay in the United States where she danced with Dakshina / Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance Company, Laetitia went back to India in 2014 and resumed her practice with Shri Vasanth Kumar.
In February 2016, she presented her arrangetram at "Mysore Auditorium" in Bombay.
From 2016, Laetitia has been dancing under the guidance of Sujatha Venkatesh, Founder and Artistic Director of Omkara School of Indian Dance٭ based in Geneva.
Laetitia also wrote a master thesis about the transmission of bharata natyam at the School of Advanced Studies in Social sciences in Paris (EHESS) as part of a Master in Arts and Languages obtained in 2013.

Apart from dancing, Laetitia works as Programme Managment Officer with the Convention on Biological Diversity based in Montreal.

٭Omkara School of Indian Dance has been a centre for learning Bharata Natyam and promoting Indian culture since 1987 in Geneva.
